1. How is this different from hiring a consultant?

A consultant embeds in your business, bills by the day, and solves the problem you gave them to solve. They are usually given the job because they have a deep track record in that area, which sounds good.

The Vision is the opposite. We bring in people who are deliberately outside your industry, your assumptions, and your org chart for a short, structured session designed to surface what you can't see from inside. No ongoing retainer, no politics, no report that sits on a shelf. You get an action matrix and the momentum to move. It's not advisory as a process. It's advisory as a provocation, because often the problem you think needs solving, isn't the real problem.

2. How do you pick who's on my board?

It starts with cognitive profiling, not just "who knows this sector" but how people actually think and process. We use a proprietary psychometric tool co-developed with psychologists at Surrey Business School to map cognitive styles in the context of a boardroom briefing, then triangulate that with domain expertise. The result is a board where roughly a third of the thinking is genuinely different from the other two-thirds, that 33% is the sweet spot we've identified for productive challenge without chaos. You won’t  get a board full of people who know your industry inside out. That's the point. You already have that covered.

3. What kind of problems are the Advisory boards designed for?

Any decision or situation where you suspect you're missing something, but you're not sure what. it’s either costing you money or stopping you from growing.  In practice, the moments we see most often are: when you're at a strategic/commercial crossroads and unsure of which route to follow.  When the sales pipeline is converting slower, or when you're entering a new market and operator insight on the ground matters more than desk research. It works across sectors, we've run boards for FinTech, gaming, adtech, legal, HealthTech and EdTech and it scales from growth-stage businesses to enterprise teams inside large organisations.

4. What does it actually cost, and what do I get?

There are three ways to work with us, depending on what you need. The Project Board is the core offer; three diverse experts plus a chair in a structured, chaired session, ending with a concrete action matrix. Deep Dive Sprints follow on from that, pairing you with one expert and a facilitator to actually execute the plan. And Power to Action brings in an executive mentor to make sure your priorities land and don't get buried under business-as-usual. Pricing is scoped to the challenge, not sold off a rate card.
